A BELFAST cosmetics company has grown its turnover by a staggering 700 per cent in a year to £1.8 million.
BPerfect Cosmetics has announced a growth of 737 per cent in sales, lifting the companies turnover from £244,000 last year. The figures for the year ending March 2018 were more than double the expectations of the firm. who had initially targeted annual revenue of £699,000.
BPerfect was founded by local businessman Brendan McDowell in 2012, who started the company with just £500. Today, his range of on-trend products are favoured by celebrities across the UK and Ireland, and sales continue to soar both online and through their extensive range of pharmacy, fashion and beauty stockists.
As part of the company's ongoing growth strategy Bperfect has just three new beauty products, representing an investment of £250,000.
The new product range includes the much anticipated, BPerfect 10 second Tan Mousse, the BPerfect Golden Glow Body Shimmer and the BPerfect Luxury 10 Second Tan Mitt.
Speaking at the launch of the new products in the Westbury Hotel in Dublin, Mr McDowell reflected on a successful year.
“What a whirlwind 12 months it has been, from trebling the size our premises, increasing production to facilitate the huge growth, launching our new make-up palate in collaboration with one of the best-known make-up artists in Ireland, to launching these three fantastic new products."
“I am thrilled that the business is going from strength-to-strength and I am excited to continue the BPerfect journey and for our customers to enjoy this new range," he added.
The launch of the three new products come just a year after Bperfect was showcased on RTÉ's Dragon's Den, with Mr McDowell receiving an offer of €80,000 from two Dragons. The budding entrepreneur, however decided to turn down the offer as he felt he could achieve his goals alone.
