Brandon Student Re Gifts Birthday Money For Cancer Patients

For three weeks in January, Brandon Elementary asked its students to donate what little they could to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through the “Pennies for Patients” fund-raiser. Children were dropping their pennies and spare change into collection jars throughout the month to contribute to the cause. But one generous third-grade PACE student named Rohan Sohini decided that giving a few pennies a day was not enough. Sohini gave $330 of his birthday money to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society because he said he wanted to help the cancer patients feel better.
