Fresh is going French, at least with its first-ever fashion collaboration. The New York City-based skin-care brand (an Allure editor fave!) teamed up with Parisian designer, Sézane, for a limited-edition line that oozes joie de vivre: Think a curated assortment of Fresh products, a whimsical Sézane makeup bag to store them in, and a Sézane shirt that is nothing short of très chic.
Aptly named "La Vie en Rose," the Fresh x Sézane capsule collection is centered around the aroma, color, and other sensorial properties of the flower. "Roses are native to Grasse in the French Riviera — during the spring, you can walk down the streets and smell their amazing aroma," Morgane Sézalory, Sézane founder, tells Allure. "[When I think of roses] I think about the song La Vie En Rose by Edith Piaf, which translates to Life in Rosy Hues."
Fresh's co-founder Alina Roytberg says it made sense to incorporate the brand's rose products into the collection because the ingredient reflects the "effortless beauty rituals of French women, who always look fresh-faced."
Specifically, the collection features a smattering of hydrating hero products (four of which are rose-infused), including the gel-like Fresh Rose Face Mask, the ultra-moisturizing Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream, the hydrating Fresh Rose Floral Toner, the SPF-laced Rosé Sugar Lip Balm, and the 20-year-old Fresh Soy Face Cleanser.
If you've given any of the aforementioned products a try, you already know this collection is a skin-softening dream team (if you haven't, consider this the perfect opportunity to give them a go in one fell swoop). Plus, the products are TSA-approved — you know, in case you become inspired to drop everything and take an impromptu trip to France. (In all seriousness, we're itching with wanderlust just looking at the breezy makeup bag.)
It's also no coincidence that this collection launches just in time for summer travels. In addition to the portability factor, these hydrating rose products are ideal for slathering on parched skin post-flight, or— Roytberg's pro tip — popping in the fridge to use after a day in the sun.
In case you want to proclaim your love for all things rose-related without having to say a word, there's a T-shirt for that. The limited-edition tee simply says "ROSE" across the front, which is an example of breezy minimalism that's very much in keeping with the fashion brand's aesthetic (peep Sézane's Insta and you'll see what we mean).
Starting May 16, you can snag the pouch plus products for $64 on fresh.com, sézane.com, and in Sézane boutiques in Paris and New York City. The tee will be available for $60 at Sézane locations in New York City and Paris, as well as online at sézane.com.
A word to the wise: You might want to claim a set très vite — this collection is only around while supplies last.
