Owners Sell Window Cleaning Business

A local entrepreneur has acquired a window-cleaning business from its long-time owners.

Matt Graif and Jamie Graif sold their Marne-based Squeegee Squad franchise, which serves the Grand Rapids area, to Troy Butler last month, according to Calder Capital,

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We’ve worked very hard over the past 10 years to bring quality and reliability to our customers,” the Graifs said. “We are excited to transition the business to Troy and believe that his skills, drive and connections will take Squeegee Squad to the next level.”

Butler said he plans to retain the existing nine employees, which includes seven technicians, a sales manager and a VP of operations.

“The phenomenal team at Squeegee Squad has successfully completed over 65,000 jobs in the area, and we look forward to many more,” Butler said. “I am very excited to take the reins and move things forward.”

Butler said he aims to make his franchise “the best company in Grand Rapids” through great customer service.

“As of this morning, we have a crew rappelling down Grand Rapids City Hall cleaning the exterior facade and windows, and it gives me great pride to be a part of that,” he said.

Grand Rapids-based Calder Capital was the M&A advisor to Squeegee Squad for this transaction.
